THE CAR IS UP-TO-SPEED
BUT ARE YOU?

Rules of the Road for
New MAZDASPEED Protege Drivers:

1.  ALWAYS use premium unleaded fuel.  Your high-revving turbocharged engine requires the best fuel available.  Avoid fuel additives.

2.  ALWAYS allow your turbocharger time to "cool down" by idling the engine for 30 seconds after driving at freeway speeds, up long hills or for extended periods.

3.  NEVER race your engine when starting it.  This can actually damage the engine.

4.  NEVER take your MAZDASPEED to an automatic car wash.  Some automatic car washes can damage the finish on your alloy wheels.  Instead, wash your MAZDASPEED at least once a month with lukewarm or cold water to protect the finish and keep its appearance clean and bright.

5.  REMEMBER you've got a limited-slip differential up front that's designed to work with tires that are the same size.  So, whenever possible, avoid mounting your smaller, temporary spare tire on the front axle.

6.  ALSO REMEMBER to protect your MAZDASPEED's special body parts (front fascia, side skirts and rear chin spoiler) from damage by driving slowly over driveways, dips, speed bumps and the like.
